Home Matters Caregiving is excited to welcome Asha Scher to the Home Matters family. Asha will be opening her agency in May, in Stamford, Connecticut. Asha revealed that her decision to establish her own business, specifically in the field of home care, was shaped by two significant events. The first occurred when a close friend passed away prematurely. This tragedy made her acutely aware of life’s unpredictability, prompting her to reflect on her retirement plans – giving back to the community and finding ways to help others. The second turning point occurred when she witnessed her parents’ struggles with aging and adapting to a rapidly changing world. Asha understood that they hesitated to seek help, unsure of how to articulate their needs.
This prompted Asha to explore the rapidly growing home care industry. Through research, she discovered the significant demographic shift caused by the aging baby boomer generation, with 10,000 individuals reaching the age of 65 daily. Motivated by this demographic trend, she explored various home care franchise options. It was during this search that Asha encountered Home Matters Caregiving, where she was impressed by the servant leadership demonstrated by the executive team. She found alignment with the company’s core values, particularly its commitment to utilizing technology for enhanced client outcomes, nurse-guided care, and a culture that prioritized caregivers.
Asha is a welcome addition to our franchisee family, and we look forward to her bringing the Home Matters brand to the Connecticut Gold Coast.
