Women’s History Month – Women in Senior Care Series
During Women’s History Month, we are profiling several female leaders at Home Matters. They hold many different positions. They come from many different walks of life. But they all have a passion for serving our senior population.
Meet April Simmers
April Simmers is the Operations and Human Resources Manager for the Home Matters Caregiving franchises in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Cleveland. She chose to join Home Matters for several key reasons. During her interview process, she found the franchisees to be exceptionally welcoming and down-to-earth, which made her feel at home. April was also drawn to Home Matters Caregiving because of its commitment to genuinely making a difference in people’s lives and its reputation for standing by its word. She was thrilled about the prospect of being an integral part of the team.
April’s advice to aspiring female leaders is to persistently believe in themselves and never give up. She emphasizes that with enough determination and passion, overcoming any obstacle is possible. Through her leadership, April aims to empower other women by demonstrating that hard work is rewarding. She encourages them to continue pushing towards being the best version of themselves, assuring that this effort will lead to positive outcomes. April believes that despite the negatives that may arise, life offers overwhelmingly more positive opportunities.
