Women’s History Month – Women in Senior Care Series
During Women’s History Month, we are profiling several female leaders at Home Matters. They hold many different positions. They come from many different walks of life. But they all have a passion for serving our senior population.
Meet Tisha Smith
Tisha Smith, Executive Administrator for our North Atlanta office, chose to be a part of Home Matters Caregiving because she believes the company aligns with her values regarding health and wellness for clients, and providing a continuity of care basis for caregivers who serve their community. Tisha is driven by a servant mentality, which she finds crucial in her role and is something she passionately advocates for.
For aspiring female leaders, Tisha’s advice is to approach their roles with determination and confidence, especially in the predominantly female care industry. She emphasizes the unique nurturing capabilities women possess, which she believes are essential for leading teams effectively and providing an extra level of care and emotional support to clients.
Tisha seeks to empower other women through her leadership by demonstrating that achieving your goals is possible with the right mindset. She practices a hands-on leadership style, showing her team that she is willing to work alongside them to accomplish any necessary tasks. By valuing and supporting her team, Tisha aims to empower them not just as caregivers but as individuals, fostering growth and improvement both professionally and personally.
