Clayton Foutch, Founder and COO
Clay Foutch has been serving the senior population in the Portland Metropolitan area since founding the company in 2007. Clay’s “why” starts with the pride in building a team to carry out the mission of Home Matters locally and to create entrepreneurial opportunities for future Home Matters business owners across the US. Our mission is to provide exceptional nurse guided care to the aging population, and to do so with the most clinically competent team in the market allowing us to serve both our clients and the professional caregivers that carry out the most important position within our company, caregiving. Clay feels strongly that the best way to serve his clients is by providing In-Home Care with the utmost respect and competence allowing his clients to remain in their home safely and independently for as long as possible.
Outside of Home Matters, Clay has advocated and served the senior community through his work as a board member for the Alzheimer’s Association SW Washington Chapter along with The Metropolitan Senior Network. Clay now serves as a board member with Stepping Up For Seniors, an organization that serves seniors that fall below the poverty line. He volunteers as a committee member for Beaverton’s Committee on Aging whose purpose is to discover and examine the issues and concerns of the aging population in the City of Beaverton. Nationally, Clay is committed to the Home Care Association of America as an Innovation Committee member with the purpose of leveraging technology and innovation to improve the lives of aging adults.
Christina Foutch, OTR Owner
Christina Foutch has been serving people with disabilities and the aging population since earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University in 2001. Christina’s focus in Alzheimer’s dementia and physical disabilities allows her clients and caregivers an unmatched resource for the senior community. She is skilled in the areas of transfer and mobility training, behavior modification techniques, and adaptive equipment allowing increased independence, mobility and safety in the home for her clients.
Starting Home Matters Caregiving in 2007, Christina has utilized her skills to better train our professional caregivers and care for our clients. Christina is certified by the Alzheimer’s Association to teach their courses, curriculums and has spoken at the McGinty Conference. Christina wants to give the aging population the option and opportunity to age in place and advocate for those who can’t advocate for themselves.
Heidi Rowell, Executive Director
Heidi Rowell has dedicated her career to caring for the aging population. She first began working with seniors in 1999 as a CNA. It was during this time that Heidi realized her passion for working with people and families living with Alzheimer’s and other dementia. She believes that all seniors deserve to receive high-quality care in their own homes and is proud to make that possible through her work with Home Matters. Heidi sees her most important role as that of a mentor to our management and caregiving team, providing the leadership and guidance they need to provide the highest quality care to our clients.
In addition to the leadership, she provides to our local team, Heidi is also an integral part of the Home Matters corporate team, sharing her expertise with new franchise owners, to spread the Home Matters mission. Heidi holds a bachelor’s degree in management and organizational leadership and healthcare administration from George Fox University. She believes in the Home Matters mission of doing well by doing good, and volunteers for the Alzheimer’s Association, and serves on the board of Stepping up for Seniors.
Eloisa Wongsaprome, RN
Eloisa is a nurse by profession and caregiver by heart. After moving to America, her first job was a caregiver to a 100-year-old lady. After obtaining her medical assistant certification she met a Nurse Practitioner that led her to pursue Nursing. Eloisa received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2003 while working at White Memorial Medical Center in California. After moving to Oregon, she worked in several settings including a community hospital, GI clinic, skilled nursing facility, and a long-term care company before finding her way to In Home care. Eloisa joined the Home Matters team because the organization’s mission and values aligned with her own.
Eloisa has a passion for providing care to seniors, and is a strong advocate for quality care. Eloisa guides our team with her extensive nursing knowledge is always looking for ways to provide even better service to our clients. She provides continuous education to our caregivers and leads our advanced hospice training program. Outside of work Eloisa enjoys crafting, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Mary Guitron, LPN
Mary Guitron began her career as a License Practical Nurse in 1984. During her nursing career she has worked in many different settings, hospital, skilled nursing, schools, home health, and now home care. Mary brings the experience she has gained in her long nursing career to our team at Home Matters. She guides our managers and caregivers each day to provide the quality care and support our clients need.
Mary’s favorite part of her job is teaching our caregivers during new hire training. Mary is one of the first people our new caregivers meet, and she takes great pride in setting them up for success as they begin their work with Home Matters. When she is not working Mary enjoys spending time with friends and family and is a devoted Mom, Grandma and dog mom.
Sydni Kendall, Assistant Administrator
Laura Ramirez, Client Services Manager
Laura Ramirez has been caring for seniors for over 10 years. After helping her own mother through a major health crisis, Laura was inspired to become a professional caregiver. She was hired by a local home care agency and her talents were quickly recognized and she was promoted to client care coordinator. Following her time as a client care coordinator Laura went on to become an administrator for another home care agency. Laura always felt she could do more, and had a desire to grow in her career. Laura joined Home Matters Caregiving to learn the Home Matters way and plans to open her own agency in Hillsboro in 2024, continuing our company’s strong tradition of women in leadership.
When she is not serving seniors Laura enjoys spending time with her family, and is a proud Mom and Grandma. She continues to support her mom in her quest to remain healthy and independent.
