Krista was born at Emanuel Hospital in Portland and has spent most of her life in Oregon, aside from a brief time in Idaho for her late husband’s career. As the oldest of six children, she fondly recalls snowy days spent playing with her father and siblings—memories that remain close to her heart.
Krista and her late husband built a life centered on love, family, and faith, raising three children together. Today, she is a proud grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of two. Christmas has always been her favorite holiday because it brings together the things she cherishes most: celebrating her faith and spending meaningful time with family and friends.
In her younger years, Krista had a deep passion for theater and drama, enjoying everything from acting on stage to helping behind the scenes with productions. Her advice to younger generations is simple yet powerful: give everyone a chance and always lead with love.
A former Registered Nurse, Krista says Home Matters has restored a sense of purpose in her life. Being surrounded by compassionate, dedicated caregivers reminds her of the calling that first inspired her to pursue a career in healthcare.
