Meet Our Team

Asha Scher, Owner and Administrator

The prospect of caring for the elderly fills Asha with immense joy and heartfelt emotion, especially as she witnesses her own parents navigate their golden years. Asha treasures the profound wisdom, captivating stories, and cherished experiences that elders possess. Her heart has always been drawn to this calling—even as a teenager, Asha demonstrated compassion by cashing out her piggy bank for Mother Teresa’s charity for her sweet sixteen. Asha is deeply committed to creating cherished memories, sharing laughter, and ensuring that her parents, along with others in similar circumstances, enjoy lives filled with fulfillment and comfort during this beautiful phase of life.

This journey of caregiving resonates deeply with Asha. For her, it transcends physical care, encompassing emotional support, companionship, and the creation of a nurturing environment where loved ones can thrive in their later years. Drawing from an extensive corporate career, particularly in process centricity and customer service, Asha strives to revolutionize the provision of care. Her goal is to shift the focus towards holistic care over mere curative measures, enhancing the overall quality of caregiving experiences and making a positive impact on the lives of those who have given so much to others.

“Let me start by saying it was hard enough to let someone into our home to clean but take on the responsibilities watching over my father very hard decision. Home Matters made it very easy with meet & greet/interview with company manager & caregiver.”
Joern JT Thorman
“The team at Home Matters did an exceptional job of not only taking care of my Mother’s physical needs, they took the time and made an effort to engage her mind in conversation and encouraged her to eat healthy and do her exercises.”
Don Woods
“My family and I know mom is in good hands and honestly, having Home Health care takes away a lot of stress and anxiety that comes along with caring for aging parents. Tisha says “we are a family” and that is how I feel mom is taken care of. Can’t thank you enough!”
Julie Fogard
“It isn’t easy seeing a parent decline and need more care than you can provide as an adult child. The experience is full of anguish and self-doubt. But Home Matters lightened our load by providing such competent, attentive, and personal care. Our family will always be grateful to them.”
