Our Story

Home Matters Caregiving was founded in 2007 by Christina Foutch, OTR, who envisioned a higher level of home care with greater clinical expertise and support for seniors.  An Occupational Therapist who saw the correlation of traumatic brain injuries, which was her specialty in the hospital setting, to the implications of diseases like Alzheimer’s and Dementia.  Partnering with her husband, Clay Foutch, they’ve built a clinical team of Registered Nurse’s, Healthcare Professionals, and an Administrator who all support their caregivers in order to fulfill the company’s mission.  It’s a hands-on approach that has earned Home Matters Caregiving the reputation as a top senior care provider in the greater Portland area.

Our relationships with strategic organizations like the Alzheimer’s Association or the Oregon Health Care Association; industry leaders at our local hospitals, skilled nursing, Assisted and Independent Living Communities, along with educational resources we offer to the aging and those that help care for them make Home Matters Caregiving the first call you should make.
