Lori Miller was born in August of 1936 in Portland, Oregon. She has lived in Portland most of her life with the exception of a few years on the east coast right after she got married. Lori’s favorite childhood memories are playing with her sister and mother with baby dolls and barbies and helping her mother with the washing. She loved that so much she became a nurse and worked for over 30 years in the labor and delivery department. Her daughter followed in her footsteps and became a nurse as well. Lori was married for many years, and she and her husband raised two children, a son and a daughter.

Lori’s favorite time of the year is Christmas, because it’s so happy and fun, the lights are pretty and she loves giving gifts and spending time with family. Her advice to the younger generations is to remember kindness and smiles, the feelings of giving back, and being nice to others. Most importantly, love and the feeling of love.

Our caregivers enjoy caring for Lori, because she is so much fun and always keeps everyone laughing. She and her bestie Elle are favorites among all the staff and we were so happy to spend time with them at our summer BBQ in July. Lori stays active and loves reading, singing and of course laughing. She tells us that she appreciates how kind and friendly her caregivers are and is happy to be able to stay safe in her home.
