Kristi Edwards - Franchise Owner
Hi, my name is Kristi Edwards, and I am the proud owner and administrator of Home Matters Caregiving in San Luis Obispo. Throughout my life, I have naturally stepped into roles that involve helping others. Whether it’s family, friends, or strangers, people tend to rely on me for support and guidance. That deep sense of responsibility and compassion made opening Home Matters Caregiving a natural fit.
I am passionate about providing seniors with the care and dignity they deserve, ensuring they can remain safe and comfortable in their homes. Beyond my work with Home Matters, I am committed to strengthening the senior care community. I founded the Senior Services Collective, a networking group designed to bring together professionals who serve older adults, fostering collaboration and trusted referrals. Additionally, I serve as the Executive Walk Chair for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Santa Maria, advocating for awareness, support, and research in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
On a personal level, I am a devoted mother to three beautiful children—Harmony, Ronnie, and Henry—who inspire me every day to make a difference in the world. My goal is not only to provide exceptional care to the seniors in my community but also to set an example for my children about the importance of kindness, service, and hard work.
Opening Home Matters Caregiving has been one of the most fulfilling journeys of my life. I love what I do, and I take pride in helping families navigate the challenges of aging with confidence and peace of mind. My mission is to make a difference in San Luis Obispo County—one family at a time.
Carlin Stober - Executive Director
As the Executive Director of Home Matters Caregiving, I bring years of experience in the healthcare industry, along with a strong background in leadership roles. In addition to those roles, my most important role has been being a mother. I have 2 little ones leading me to deeply understand the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment for those in need of care. My passion for helping others drives me to lead a team committed to providing personalized, compassionate, and high-quality caregiving services.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of holding leadership roles where I’ve honed my skills in managing teams, creating efficient processes, and ensuring that the needs of both clients and staff are met with the utmost care and respect. At Home Matters Caregiving, my goal is to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve, ensuring that every client receives exceptional care in the comfort of their own home.
